Adobe Insects

This series of insect illustrations was commissioned by Adobe Systems to be included in a custom vector art collection. Rossman Art worked through Lightsource Studios to produce cohesively styled illustrations for Adobe Systems. The examples seen here were done in illustrator with specific restrictions placed on color and vector complexity. The challenge was to produce engaging graphics within these color, vector, and texture restrictions.

See the other separately styled illustrations here also.

Asimov’s Realms

In this is a promotional illustration I challenged myself to produce a recognizable distortion of Issac Asimov’s face based off of several photo references. The illustration was produced years after he had passed away, so I tried to find references of him as late in his life as possible.

Electronic Arts commissioned Rossman Art to do this concept rendering for a video game character. Two versions were completed based off of separate preliminary character schetches. the one on the right was chosen based on the character’s personality and a few other textural and wardrobe changes.

Jeff: Both illiustrationa are done in acrylic ink with an airbrush on gesso board. I produced two other versions of each character combined with a simple digital background that added foreground and background shading not shown here.

Editorial on Alcoholism

I originally produced two separate illustrations for and editorial on alcoholism. Later, I produced a combination of the two illustrations in the one seen here. Although it was never used in the editorial I felt it was a more powerful image with the subject inside the eye of a close observer.
